what is an American

     What is An American?

The Meaning of an American has changed so much over time. An American once was a hard working person that worked on the fields or a man that built railroads or anyone that wanted to reach the American Dream. Now in 2014, the meaning of an American is so different. technology has changed the meaning of American. To be exact the SOCIAL MEDIA has changed and molded a new American.
Technology has gone so far and now the media has so much power. Even the American Dream has changed. It use to be about hard work and good economical stand. It was about honest and love for your family. I speak on the American Dream, because its the foundation of  America and of the American. An American is based of the dream. Change the Dream, Change the American.
So what is an America? That's easy. Just look at the main points that the media pushes on to you and into your brain. I have just a few of the points that they keep pushing and pressing on. 1. Its to believe all and everything your government tells you. you have to be patriotic beyond belief. 2. they want you to be the perfect puppet. they what you to act like they want you to, like who they want you to, and buy want they want you too. which leads to my  last point. 3. being the perfect consumer. they want all your money and what better why to get it the by advertizing what they want you to buy. which is the reason almost everyone wears the same types of socks, shoes, hats, shirts, etc. and that's what an American is today
                                             Autobiographical Narrative

My life and my character are relatively different. My life is fairly simple while my character is extremely complex. It's funny how one thing can change you life. you can have a hole new mind set in just a day. This change of mind set has happened to me.

Music has always been in my life. I like Eminem as a kid and other singers like Akon and other people, but the music that change my life forever was the music created by 2pac.  I was a very playful kid when i was 11. I was in 7th grade. i wanted to be a rapper and so i had started to rap. I had made a rap about buying a big fun house and a candy world. i went to my 3rd period and showed it to my older friend and he laughed. He told me he like it but that it needed meaning. He showed me a song by 2pac  it was called Only god can judge me. I the learn in want type of world we really live in, I went home ( i live in the Ghetto ) and I saw that want 2pac said was true.

Ever since then i look at the world differently. I saw that the world is so different than what I believe it to be. I knew it was hard, but now it seemed to get harder. my heart felt more pain because i noticed that the world didn't care about itself. A friend would shoot a friend in the heart if he was give the right amount of money. A father would leave his family for a women he believe was worth more. And worst of all I saw that evil feeds of the hoods and ghetto's of the world and that it controls the life of humanity like if we were machines like the Matrix, and that one would not hesitate to loss his soul to gain the world. I have only one question, why gain the world if when you die you can't take it with you?

                                                                 E P T Essay

In an essay written my Mead, she argues that we as Americans see the concept of success as a source of confusion. she believes that we are taught to rejoice in the success of people far removed from us and yet the people that work in another profession, a different community, or with a different set of skill we wish not to have, and even people in our small group are regarded as a threat. this is true. One can see it in our every day life.

In the society, in the American society, we are taught to love the success of a celebrity sometimes even "worship" them and this is without knowing them. why do we love celebrities so much? Well, its simple, take 2Pac for example,. he's the greatest rapper in the world, to many people. he had no father, a druggie mother and a sister. he lived in the ghetto, with nobody to help him. he became a thug, rapper, and a iconic celebrity. All the poor ghetto kids wanted to be like him. they saw in him, what was in them. he was a poor man's dream and thug poet. hen there are the people we see as threats.

These people are not bad, not all are mean, or even angry people. We just don't like them. Why, what's the reason for such hate? the reason is that this people are the exactly what we don't want to ever become or if they are very much like you; you feel like they are copying you. We like celebrities because we picture them the way we want them to be and not the way the are and that's not right.

We shouldn't hate our peers. we must learn to love one another. Lets be a great society, one that love the other, one that helps the other, and one that would protect the other. we are humans, we are organisms that have feelings, lets not let other change this and let work together to create the foundation to a better civilization, a greater home, to make world peace a real thing and not just a good idea.
