       Los Angles, California is an incredible place, it has great weather, it's a place where people go to fulfill your dreams , it home to many famous people, but it's also a major gangland. Los Angles is home to over 1,000 gangs and counting, most of which live in South Central. I have lived here for most of my life. I have seen many gangs and many thugs, but there is one gang that they all cower in fear for and the name is MS-13. This group has only one goal in mind to be the most violent, ruthless, most feared, and the number one gang in the world for most dangerous. They would do anything to be number one.
 
        I am an older man now, but when i first moved to South Central it was not so dangerous. The community of Silver Lake did not welcome me and my people, the Salvadorians. I had left my country like many others because at the time there was a civil war. Many of us moved to South Central Los Angeles, but when we arrived here we were being attacked by Mexican gangs and people. We didn't know want to do until one day someone decided that they had enough and created their own gang, MS. At first it was for protection. Soon it became more, MS gained rivals, they had drug trades, and MS grew violent and dangerous. They had drive by's and shoot outs. The United States had never seen a gang so evil like MS. The gang Of course was use to such violence and blood shed. Many of the members had just can from a war , they were soldiers, killing a human at point blank was not a thing for them. MS-13 had become the most feared name.

           As time went by MS grew stronger, they had drug trades, control over territory, and lots of dirty money. One thing you have to know is that the Mara Salvatrucha's ideals had changed, it was not about protection it was about sending a statement which is, " We are the worst gang, we have the most kills, the most crimes, and we are the most feared."
         
         It was the late 1980s, I was going to work like every other day.I lived and work around silver lake. On my way to work, i meant with my friend Joeann. We meant everyday at 7:30 right outside of our work place which was a mechanic shop. That day felt like a normal day. we sat down and talked for a little while about the things Joann was going through in his life, he didn't have it as good as I did. He left around 9:00 like usual.
